High-performance resilient floor coverings
PVC flooring (polymer sheet) and LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) are resilient flooring systems used in commercial and institutional environments. Their waterproof nature, easy maintenance and wide design range make them popular in office, healthcare and retail sectors.

PVC flooring broadly covers all polymer-based resilient coverings, divided into homogeneous and heterogeneous reinforced types. Homogeneous PVC has the same colour and structure from core to surface, making it ideal for spaces requiring colour consistency throughout the thickness.
LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) is a subcategory of PVC flooring that mimics natural wood or stone through a layered construction. A fibreglass or densified polymer core layer provides superior rigidity and dimensional stability compared with traditional PVC. The wear layer on the surface ranges from 0.3 mm to 0.7 mm and determines durability in commercial applications.
Waterproofing is the defining characteristic of both PVC and LVT. When surface joints and perimeter edges are properly sealed, they can be safely used in wet areas.
Ease of cleaning and hygiene is a key reason for specifying these materials in healthcare. The flat, non-porous surface resists bacteria and dirt accumulation; standard damp-mopping without specialist chemicals is sufficient.
Noise reduction can be significantly enhanced with an acoustic backing underlay, effectively absorbing footfall noise in high-activity open offices.
Full-spread adhesive: the most permanent method and prevents movement under load; the most common commercial choice. Click-lock: panels interlock with no adhesive required; the floor can be dismantled and re-laid. Loose-lay: heavy panels stay in place by their own weight; used in smaller commercial spaces or fast-installation projects.
